I feel most connected in nature, and use that nature in my art. Starting with clay, I add collected materials that I find when moving though the world. I am interested in portraying the common seasons that nature and humans experience – be it birth, aging, death, decay, grief and the all the spaces that happen in-between. Dream imagery, along with messages I am given when awake and engaged, are the inspiration for most of my work. And then sometimes it’s just playing in the mud.
