Fireheads Clay Studio has lost everything to a fire. The building and all four businesses within were destroyed on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Our goal is to find a new space where Fireheads can rise from the ashes.
Amber Matthews and Stephanie Samuels created Fireheads Clay Studio in July 2023. We found an established artist building in Evanston IL to launch a community studio that would provide a low-cost option for emerging ceramic artists who needed a place to work and grow.
Our small group was just hitting our stride when this disaster struck. The fire damage amounts to nearly a complete loss. Being a new business, we have not had time to recoup our buildout and start up costs. Therefore we are turning to our wider community for help.
As we start the long process of rebuilding, we would be grateful for any support.
